Hello ladies,
Today’s review will be on the much-raved about product – the Original Beauty Blender.

Product Description:
Now you can look like a movie star without the pricey services of a major make up artist. Introducing Beauty blender, the ultimate make up sponge applicator. Invented by top Hollywood make up artist Rea Ann Silva, Beauty blender has been created to leave you with a professional finish and a flawless complexion. Silva knows that the key to a perfect face is simple: a perfect blend. So forget your fingers or sharp-edged triangular sponges, these application methods waste make up and can leave visible streaks. Beautyblender’s patent-pending elliptical shape makes application foolproof by allowing you to access hard-to-reach areas with stunning ease. Its suede texture is sensual to the touch and its unique curves fit the contours of your face, leaving your make up dazzling and undetectable. Beauty blender is latex free, non-allergenic and odor free.
If you apply make up with your fingers, you will find that Beautyblender will smooth and refine your make up to provide a clean finish. Use Beauty blender damp when applying wet/dry make up. When Beauty blender is wet it is normal for it to expand to nearly twice its original size. Wash after use and place in the Beauty blender insert pedestal to dry. Beauty blender should not come in contact with extreme heat of any kind. If you have problem skin, Beauty blender works to cover blemishes. Use the pointed end and the stipple and twist technique to work make up into depressed areas of the face. The stippling and twisting action feathers out the make up’s edges, leaving a perfect finish.

My Experience with Beauty Blender Sponge:
This product has revolutionized the way people apply makeup and I personally believe it’s a great tool to have in your collection and perfect for beginners who are not so skilled in applying makeup.
The blender itself is of hot pink color and very dense. When squeezed and released, it jumps back to its original shape immediately leaving no dent and it will definitely not lose its shape over time. When it is damp, it doubles in size and hence gives you a right sized to tool to work on your whole face and neck. The egg shape with its pointed end is so great in reaching hard to reach places like under eye are and sides of the nose than if using a normal dense brush.
This beauty blender claims to apply any type of product flawlessly whether it be liquid, cream or powder. While I can vouch for it working amazing with liquid and creams I don’t think this is a good tool for applying powder. Firstly because it has to be used damp and using a damp tool with powder just gives it a cakey appearance.
I think the best use of this product is when you want something to blend your medium to heavy coverage foundations. The suggested bouncing motion leaves an airbrushed finish without any streaking. If you also want to blend multiple products on your face together, for example making your concealer blend with your foundation, it does a perfect job of making everything look seamless. It also works really great with cream blushes.
The best way that I have found to use this is that instead of dipping the blender directing into the foundation, I first smear a light layer all over the face and then use the beauty blender in a stippling motion. Also, it is best to work with one light layer at a time , blend, then apply another light layer and blend to achieve the best results. This type of method maybe a little time consuming, but it gives the most amazing results.
Also, this product may not work as great as it does with heavy foundations as with BB creams since they are already so light coverage and with some of the product being absorbed into the blender, it does make it look a little uneven on the face unless I use a lot of product which I don’t like to as it makes my face greasy. I find a little goes a long way with BB creams. Also, BB creams works best for me if I use the heat of the fingers to melt and blend it in.
It also cleans effortlessly with a baby shampoo or a brush cleaner if you happen to use that, but some of the stains from the makeup particularly blushes do not fade away completely. I will definitely recommend this.
