Walking again

Briefly braving the bleak beauty of a wild snowstorm, viewing this standing stone just about 300 metres from my garden, between our village and the few buildings of Duncrub; and the stone is certainly an ancient landmark although there are two versions of its history, as follows: "Although tradition asserts that it marks the burial place of Doncha, Abbot of Dunkeld, killed in AD 964 at the Battle of Duncrub, the stone is more likely to have been erected in the Neolithic or Bronze age." Maybe they buried dead Doncha beside the old stone, so both versions may be true.

Anyway, a stumbling wander of half a mile in deep snow was enough outdoor rehabilitation for me for one day.
